It’s Exciting to Snatch the Supporting Male Lead and Run Away [Quick Wear] - 100

IETSTSMLARA | The Ambitious Vampire Prince | 100

"Your still young, aren't you? Just because I didn't say it, does that mean I didn't miss you?" Celtic stroked his hair, trying to reassert his stance. "If I didn't miss you, why would I come?"

"But you haven't come for fifteen days..." Lin Su sighed, burying his head in Celtic's shoulder. "I thought you wouldn't come back."

Humans are fragile and dependent creatures. When lovers are separated for a long time without contact, it generally implies a tacit breakup.

Celtic had indeed thought about this, which made him feel guilty now. "I was practicing. Besides, fifteen days is very short for me. If you're with me, you need to get used to my timeline."

Human lifespans are so short. Even if they live to a ripe old age, it's only around thirty thousand days and nights. These fifteen days amount to only two thousand such intervals, and in a fleeting moment, this handsome man before him would lose his proud luster and become less appealing.

Celtic was used to their short lifespans, yet at this moment, he felt an inexplicable panic.

"You're really stubborn," Lin Su chuckled softly. "I don't know what endless life feels like, but I always listen to what you say."

In an endless life, everyone in this world is just a passerby. Lin Su wasn't bound by the world or his sustenance, and he could even change his body at will. Everything here was just a fleeting moment for him.

Yet he cherished every moment of companionship, making those brief times exceptionally joyful.

Celtic, however, didn't understand this. Humans always pursued eternal life, but no matter how long they lived, their desires were endless, always thinking there would be time later, missing the present moments.

Lin Su's words sounded like a compromise, but Celtic felt uneasy hearing them. "This time, it was the practice that took up time. I'll come to see you sooner next time."

If Lin Su didn't know how to compromise, Celtic would feel constrained. But his willingness to compromise and accommodate made Celtic reflect on whether he had gone too far.

"Good boy," Lin Su chuckled softly. As he lifted his head, he naturally brushed Celtic's lips and then loosened his collar. "You must be hungry after fifteen days. Did you drink anyone else's blood during your practice?"

Practice was akin to hibernation. Celtic hadn't had time to drink blood. He looked at the faint pulse on Lin Su's neck, knowing how wonderful the blood flowing inside would taste. Yet, he felt an itch not just in his teeth. The casual gesture of unbuttoning carried no other meaning, but it made Celtic's mouth dry and his throat tight.

The man before him looked exceptionally handsome in the candlelight. His collarbone's deep indentations were filled with aesthetic lines, and Celtic felt he craved more than just his blood...

Celtic wrapped his arms around Lin Su's shoulders, pressing his lips to the neck and biting down. The rich blood moistened his parched mouth, but he still felt incredibly thirsty.

Even with his stomach full, he didn't feel satisfied. Burying his face in Lin Su's shoulder, he exhaled softly, "Did you do something to me?"

"What could I possibly do to you?" Lin Su stroked his long hair, soothing him with gentle motions. "I'm just a human, after all."

The weak, pitiful human posed very little threat to the vampire. Celtic abruptly lifted his head, grabbed Lin Su's chin, and kissed him. This kiss was aggressive and violent, even tearing the corner of Lin Su's lips. Only after the kiss ended did Celtic feel some relief from his parched throat, though his dissatisfaction remained.

He wasn't content with merely a superficial taste; he wanted to completely possess this human, to have him belong solely to him, body and soul.

"What's wrong?" Lin Su wiped the blood from the corner of his lips and asked, "You don't seem very happy."

His attitude showed no resistance, only acceptance, which made Celtic feel even more at a loss.

This feeling of insecurity, longing, guilt, and concern for Lin Su's emotions and feelings was akin to human love. Celtic wanted to bind him, not with blood but with love, hoping to keep him willingly by his side.

In this emotional battle, Celtic felt like he was losing again. He couldn't tell if this man was genuine or pretending.

"I'm very happy because you're so obedient," Celtic said, standing up from Lin Su's lap and touching his face with a smile. "Keep it up, and I'll love you even more."

That's right; he only regarded him as a blood slave, nothing more, and certainly wouldn't fall in love with a human. It was all an act, but in acting, he seemed to have entangled himself, risking becoming the laughingstock of all vampires.

Celtic walked towards the balcony. Lin Su called out from behind, "Are you leaving?"

"It's almost dawn. I need to go back and sleep. You should rest too," Celtic replied without turning his head.

"Next time, use the front door. Our relationship is open and honest; there's no need to hide from others," Lin Su said with a smile. "Always jumping out the window makes it seem like we're having an affair."

Celtic paused with one leg over the window ledge. Hide? He had forgotten about the vampire lurking here, coveting his man. Only by being open and honest could he deter some interested parties from trying to interfere.

Celtic turned around and walked directly to the door. "No need for next time, I'll do it now," he said, shutting Lin Su's door behind him without any intention of a formal farewell.

As he strode through the corridor and descended the stairs, the vampires he passed all stepped back and lowered their heads, their expressions filled with fearful unease.

The suppression of bloodlines was inherent among vampires. Although the ancestor’s power was immense, he had learned to recognize it and restrain that suppressive force, while Celtic was different. He lived flamboyantly and had no consideration for the feelings of other vampires.

The only reason he tolerated their presence was out of respect for Lin Su.

These vampires showed respect until he reached the bottom of the stairs and came face-to-face with Arnols, who was carrying a stack of documents. Their eyes met briefly before Arnols stepped aside to give him way.

Celtic, disdainful of a vampire’s covetous desires, felt confident that Lin Su’s standards were just as high as his own. If Lin Su could be easily taken by a vampire like Arnold, he wouldn't be worth the effort.

Although Celtic was indifferent, Arnold clearly harbored some hostility towards him. Standing still for a moment before moving past, Celtic caught a glimpse of Arnold out of the corner of his eye and snorted lightly, preparing to leave.

However, he was halted by Arnold's voice behind him, “Could you please treat Mr. Lin better?”

“What?” Celtic raised an eyebrow.

“You and Mr. Lin are partners, aren’t you? As his partner, why can’t you stay by his side instead of treating this place like a playground, coming and going as you please?” Arnold clutched the documents tighter, a hint of anger in his words.

Having broken the ice, Celtic found it easier to continue, “What’s wrong with coming and going as I please?” Celtic’s lips curled into a smile. “Are you trying to teach me how to behave?”

His eyes flashed red for a moment, an intimidating display that made Arnold flinch. Yet, Arnold suppressed his fear and trembled as he spoke, “I don’t dare teach you. I just want to say, if you don’t treat Mr. Lin well, I’ll take him away from you, I will—ugh—”

He didn't finish his words before Celtic clenched his throat and lifted him up effortlessly, showing disdain. "Who do you think you are? Do you think you can take away what belongs to me?"

Documents in Arnold's hand fell to the ground. He originally wanted to struggle to pry off the hand holding his throat, but seeing the anger on Selt's face, he relaxed and hung loosely, smiling bitterly, "If you want to kill me, go ahead. Even if you get him, you won't cherish it. One day, you'll exhaust Mr. Lin's true feelings. By then, even without me, he'll abandon you and disappear from your world."

"Shut up!" Burning with inexplicable anger, Celtic said. Normally, he didn't need a reason to kill a vampire, but now he couldn't act. "If you want to die, I'll grant your wish."

He wouldn't be constrained by anyone, including that man!

His fingers tightened, but then a familiar voice came from the stairs: "Stop."

The voice wasn't urgent, as calm as ever, but Celtic felt uneasy when he looked over.

"What happened?" Lin Su looked over calmly, not questioning, just asking about something that seemed unusually normal.

Seeing his calm gaze, Celtic smirked provocatively. "I just want to kill him."

"Why?" Lin Su walked over and asked.

Celtic didn't see him defending Arnold, so he felt much better. "Do I need a reason to kill a vampire?"

"You have always been disdainful of even looking at him for a second. There must be a reason if you want to kill him." Lin Su looked at Arnold and said, "If he won't say it, you tell me."

When Arnold looked at him, his eyes were teary, but he lowered his gaze and said, "I just felt sorry for Mr. Celtic not coming for so long. Clearly, you two are lovers, but he treats you like this. I just wanted him to treat you better, really, there's no other meaning..."

"No other meaning? Alright." Celtic tightened his fingers. "I underestimated you."

Feeling sorry was fake; wanting to compete with him was real.

“If he treats me badly, then you can take action?” Lin Su smiled and asked, "Is that how it works?"

Arnold looked somewhat bewildered and embarrassed. He clenched his fists and said, "If he treats you poorly, why can't you choose someone else?"

"Choose someone else? Like you? Whether it's good or not, it's up to me to decide. Whether to change or not, it's also up to me. I don't need anyone else to make decisions for me," Lin Su said, looking at Celtic.

Celtic assessed his expression and casually released his grip. Looking down at Arnold sitting on the ground, coughing in distress, he said from a position of superiority, "Killing you would only dirty my hands. Don't let me see you again."
