Puppet Notes (Wearing Book) - 6

As the institution bustled with people coming and going, Qi Chao asked Lan Luo to wait in the aircraft, concerned that the puppet might get bored. He specifically turned on the small TV inside the aircraft to entertain Lan Luo.

Just as Qi Chao settled back into the driver's seat, Lan Luo inside the aircraft immediately looked up at him with a healing smile.

Qi Chao's heart softened. Before he could say anything, the golden-haired puppet's attention returned to the screen.

Qi Chao glanced over. On the screen was the educational animation they had watched before. Before leaving, he had put on a Superman cartoon, and his little one really liked to learn.

"Lan Luo, do you like this?" Qi Chao asked.

"It's good!" Lan Luo's eyes sparkled as if they could glow.

The next second, the TV screen went black.

Qi Chao turned it off.

Lan Luo looked up at Qi Chao with confusion.

"While the aircraft is in motion, it's not good for your eyes to watch TV," Qi Chao said seriously.

As for whether watching TV would actually affect the puppet's eyes, Qi Chao had no idea; he was just teasing the child.

In some ways, Qi Chao was actually a terrible adult with a bad taste..

Lan Luo smiled innocently again.

Qi Chao looked at the child's pure smile, feeling a bit guilty.

In the sea consciousness, the system was contemplating whether to buy a coffin for the host, after all, if its first host died too tragically, it wouldn’t look good for its own reputation.

The aircraft soon arrived at its destination. Despite it being a weekday, there were more visitors in the amusement park than ever before, and it was bustling with people everywhere you looked.

Qi Chao  parked the aircraft and, fearing they might get separated, held Lan Luo's hand. His gaze fell upon the large poster at the entrance of the amusement park.

The poster depicted five adorable animal puppets with the caption: "Welcome, Mingyao Puppet Troupe has arrived."

Not far away, several children were persistently asking their parents to take them to see the puppet troupe.

Qi Chao finally understood why it was so lively today.

It turned out that the most popular cartoon puppet characters on Blue Star were conducting a promotional performance at the southeast corner of the amusement park today.

It would be a shame to miss out on such a lively event on their first outing together with the puppet.

Qi Chao explained to Lan Luo and prepared to go and take a look with the puppet.

As they approached the bustling area, the crowd grew denser. Lan Luo, being short in stature, nearly got pushed around and almost fell due to the jostling.

The thin air was mixed with the smell of sweat, and Lan Luo couldn't suppress his growing unease. His eyes darkened as he restrained his murderous intent and looked towards Qi Chao.

If it weren't for Qi Chao insisting on coming here, he wouldn't have encountered such a situation.

If he were to take action now, his father probably wouldn't blame him.

Lan Luo lowered his head, a strange smile curling his lips.

Just then, a pair of hands suddenly slipped under his armpits. Lan Luo felt himself lifted off the ground, his feet leaving the floor.

Before he could comprehend what was happening, he found himself sitting on Qi Chao's shoulder.

Lan Luo leaned down and saw only Qi Chao's dark hair.

In an apologetic tone, Qi Chao said, "Sorry kiddo, it's too crowded here. Hold on tight so you don't fall off."

With that, Qi Chao continued walking towards the southeast corner.

The air was fresher at this height. A few parents, in order to take care of their children, had them sitting on their shoulders as well.

However, at a height of 1.85 meters, Qi Chao, with Lan Luo sitting on his shoulder, no one else was taller than him.

The competitiveness of children is quite strange; upon seeing someone taller than them, they suddenly become unhappy. One boy, sitting on his father's shoulders, kept fidgeting and screaming to stand up.

Lan Luo followed the sound and tilted his head curiously. He touched his chest, his deep blue eyes showing a hint of confusion.

Was he feeling happy?

Lan Luo understood the emotion of happiness. When he was just born, his father had touched his hair. It made his chest warm, it was like soaking in warm water, very comfortable.

That was the first and last time Lan Luo had been happy.

This feeling now was similar to that time.

Lan Luo didn't know the reason, lowered his eyelashes, concealing the complexity in his eyes, and stopped thinking about it.

The amusement park was bustling. When they arrived at the southeast corner where the performance was held, several cartoon puppets on stage were waving to the audience, occasionally acting cute and receiving cheers and screams from the children in the audience.

As the performance was nearing its end, the host was organizing the audience and puppets for photos on stage.

Lan Luo sat quietly on Qi Chao's shoulder when suddenly there was a movement below him.

Qi Chao spoke up, "Kiddo, do you want to take a photo with those puppets?"

Down below, the audience was jostling, trying to squeeze onto the stage for photos, which clearly wasn't easy.

Lan Luo looked at the crowded stage from afar. Several human children were clamoring to take photos with the puppets. He initially wanted to refuse but found himself smiling and saying, "Lan Luo wants to take a photo."

"Great!" Qi Chao readily agreed, not minding the trouble at all. He skillfully navigated through the crowd towards the stage, ensuring to protect Lan Lou from accidentally falling.

Lan Luo sat above, staring fixedly at Qi Chao.

Due to the crowd, collisions were inevitable, and Qi Chao alternated between apologizing to people and reassuring them, soon breaking out in sweat.

Despite this, Qi Chao didn't turn away but continued towards the stage.

About ten minutes later, Qi Chao successfully reached the stage. His clothes were somewhat disheveled from the crowd, and the buttons on his shirt had been undone, giving him a somewhat miserable appearance.

Suppressing his inner doubts and complexities, Lan Luo instinctively flashed an angelic smile when Qi Chao reached the stage. "Master, you've worked hard."

Qi Chao smiled back, not feeling particularly tired. The puppet was light, so he only felt a bit warm from the journey. He adjusted his clothes and didn't mind the undone buttons.

The host approached with a large dog puppet nearly two meters tall. Qi Chao promptly took out his camera and suggested taking a photo.

The pink dog puppet spun around, then made a heart shape with its arms, agreeing to the photo. Qi Chao chuckled again, knowing the person inside the puppet might be someone entirely different, but he couldn't deny it was cute.

Handing the camera to the host, Qi Chao stood next to the puppet and Lan Luo for a photo.

After taking the picture, the host returned the camera to Qi Chao and praised, "Both you and your child look very handsome. If you don't mind, we'd like to print your photo and put it on our visitor wall."

In the photo, a man nearing thirty smiled brightly like the morning sun, making a victory sign towards the camera.

The winter sun gently illuminated his features, radiating warmth. Sitting on his shoulder was a boy of around eleven or twelve, resembling a young master with golden hair and blue eyes, whose smile was angelic.

The dog puppet next to them was making funny poses, and with the amusement park's Ferris wheel in the background, added an extra layer of joy to the photo.

Qi Chao looked very satisfied as he looked at it. He asked the Lan Lou about his opinion, and seeing that Lan Luo didn't object, he nodded directly in agreement with the host's proposal. "Of course, my child is quite photogenic."

Lan Luo, sitting above, heard their conversation, but his attention was drawn to the word "child" he used..

The outfit he wore perfectly covered the spherical joint parts of a puppet, he looked just like a delicate human child.

Hearing Qi Chao repeatedly referring to "my child," Lan Luo's eyelashes trembled slightly, and his gaze fell on the photo, pressing his lips together.

After the performance ended, the tourists gradually dispersed. Qi Chao took Lan Luo to a secluded grove and sat on a bench, preparing to eat.

The grove was quite secluded, and it was winter. Although not cold, there weren't many visitors strolling around here. Qi Chao lowered his head and rummaged through his bag for snacks.

Lan Luo held a lollipop. It was a "Seven Petals" made in the morning by Qi Chao using energy stones, carved into the shape of flower petals in different colors, it looked very beautiful.

He sat on the bench, biting the lollipop, swinging his legs in the air, his eyelashes hiding his expression.

Now there was no one around.

It was the perfect opportunity to act.

The morning together was not enough to soften Lan Luo's heart.

After killing his master, he could finally leave. He missed his father too much.

Lan Luo's lips curled into a sinister smile. He tilted his head, out of Qi Chao's sight, his left fingernail seemed to be covered with a layer of black film.

Qi Chao was completely unaware as he pulled out a sandwich, took a bite, chewed, and swallowed.

He was still planning the rest of their afternoon. "The roller coaster is too thrilling. No, let's go on the carousel first, then ring toss. Kiddo, your dad's ring toss skills are unparalleled. Tell me what you want."

"I've seen many children in the amusement park wearing deer headbands. I didn't see a stall selling them, but I'll look carefully later and get you one too."

All the children are wearing headbands.

These words struck a chord with Lan Luo, and his left hand immediately returned to normal. He looked up earnestly and said, "Lan Luo also wants a headband."

Qi Chao was charmed by his adorable expression, chuckled, and immediately agreed, "Buy, buy, buy! Dad will buy it for you later."

In the afternoon, Lan Luo finally got his headband as he wished. It seemed like he really liked this decoration; he would raise his hand to touch it from time to time and sometimes sway his head to feel the presence of the headband.

Qi Chao's blood bar had already been emptied, and he took the opportunity to snap many cute pictures.

Lan Luo seemed to enjoy being with the other children. Wherever there were more kids, his eyes would glance over.

After noticing this, Qi Chao changed his originally planned route, letting Lan Luo change the route temporarily.

When they encountered a stall for ring toss, Qi Chao deliberately stopped and bought ten bamboo rings.

Under Lan Luo's gaze, he managed to land each ring on the prizes.

Ring toss was a game that children were particularly interested in, and a group of children crowded around the stall.

Every time Qi Chao successfully tossed a ring onto a prize, they would cheer. By the tenth ring, the children were jumping up and down excitedly as if they had done it themselves.

Lan Luo didn't react outwardly, keeping his trademark smile on his face. But as he saw the human children looking up to Qi Chao with admiration, his eyes darkened.

He really disliked human children.

Lan Luo walked up to Qi Chao, tugged on his clothes, opened his arms, looked up and said, "I want to sit on your shoulders."

Qi Chao: !!!

His child actually acted spoiled!!!

Qi Chao immediately gave up the ring tossing game and bent over to lift the puppet onto his shoulder. 'What else do you want to play?”

Lan Luo noticed the envious glances from the group of children and inexplicably felt a bit proud. In a rare good mood, he truthfully said, “Lan Luo doesn't want to play anymore.”

“Okay.” Qi Chao thought he was tired, so he didn't think much about it and put the prizes from the ring tossing game into a bag to take home.

Originally, he wanted to distribute them to the children around him, but Lan Luo seemed to like it very much and held onto it tightly, so Qi Chao didn't say anything about it.

At the same time, on the other side of the amusement park, Li Yueya, who had come specifically to watch the puppet performance, under the persuasion of the host, agreed to have her photo put on the photo wall.

Li Yueya was a third-level puppet master in the Puppet Master Association, and she often browsed forums. Generally speaking, she was a qualified 'eating melon' girl.

Her idol was that unspeakable Doctor. Li Yueya treasured all the puppets produced by her idol that had been publicly released, and she dreamed of seeing those S-level puppets with her own eyes.

However, given the high value of each puppet, they were almost immediately snapped up by collectors upon release, and Li Yueya had never seen those high-end goods in her life.

So when she saw the photo of the blond-haired, blue-eyed boy on the photo wall, Li Yueya could hardly believe her eyes.

Damn!

Is this real or fake?!

Li Yueya's face was almost pressed against the photo. She couldn't possibly be mistaken. This little boy was definitely the third puppet made by Doctor!

Even though his ball joints were covered by clothes, she could still recognize him!

Ah Ah Ah!If only she had seen it in real life just a little earlier, how tragic!!

In her sorrow, Li Yueya ran miserably to the puppet enthusiasts' forum to post.

As for why she didn't post on the Association Alliance, she wasn't stupid. "Doctor" was a taboo word in the Association; if she posted there, she'd be banned and her Puppet Master title would be revoked the next second.

While the puppet enthusiasts' forum was a mixed bag with mostly trivial content, its sole advantage was its high privacy, and she wouldn't be recognized there.

Sobbing, how could she be so miserable!
