It’s Exciting to Snatch the Supporting Male Lead and Run Away [Quick Wear] - 96

IETSTSMLARA | The Ambitious Vampire Prince | 96

Regardless of their identities, their appearances alone were enough to make them the center of attention.

Yi Zhelai, accustomed to admiring gazes due to the innate attractiveness of blood kin, signaled to Lin Su and walked to a less conspicuous part of the hall. Lin Su, equally disinterested in the noble ladies, offered a polite smile and stood beside Yi Zhelai, taking a wine glass. He stood there gracefully, evidently well-adjusted to the setting.

Following them, Ian adjusted his clothes, realizing how different people could be. If he were under so many gazes, he would be nervous to the point of exploding, whereas Lin Su and Yi Zhelai could effortlessly ignore the attention and continue their conversation.

"The attendant at the entrance was a vampire," Yi Zhelai remarked coldly.

Even if the vampire retracted his fangs and looked completely human, he could not hide it from his eyes.

"Now I'm 100% sure it's him." Lin Su raised his glass, clinked it with him and said with a smile.

"Do you really like Celtic?" Yi Zhelai asked, raising his glass but not drinking. Vampires had no taste or reaction to human beverages, so there was no need for him to drink.

"Why?" Lin Su asked.

Yi Zhelai leaned on the table slightly. "Aren't you afraid that what you asked me to investigate about the vampire creation might be related to him?"

"Rest assured, he's like you; he despises such things," Lin Su's smile faded slightly. "I can guarantee he won't harm you, but you must promise a truce."

If any other human had said such things, Yi Zhelai would have torn them apart without hesitation. No one could casually command an ancestor of the vampire clan. However, Lin Su was different. He was one of the rare humans Yi Zhelai found worth appreciating. "As long as he doesn't provoke me, I won't provoke him."

The question of whether Lin Su liked Celtic no longer needed a clear answer; his protective stance made his feelings obvious.

As they chatted, it was clear they had no intention of engaging with the noble ladies. The young ladies were still reserved, but a widow, wearing strong perfume, boldly approached. "Sir, may I have this dance?" she asked, hinting at her interest.

Turning to her, Lin Su's smile was polite but carried a coldness that kept others at a distance. "I'm sorry, madam."

Lin Su's rejection was clear, but the widow was reluctant to give up. "It's just a dance," she insisted.

"My family is strict. I'm sorry," Lin Su reiterated his refusal.

"Oh, you're already married? What a pity," the widow shrugged slightly and left.

Despite one failure, others were still unwilling to give up, resulting in a series of rejections and some resentful glances from the ladies.

Lin Su faced constant advances, while Yi Zhelai received none. Ian was a bit puzzled.

Yi Zhelai, with a cold expression, glanced at Ian and said, "What are you looking at?"

Ian quickly shook his head. "Nothing..."

Yi Zhelai could be really intimidating at times.

Lin Su chuckled. "The 'iceberg' type is very popular in fairy tales, but in reality, not many people have the courage to approach."

Especially those pampered noble ladies; such cold treatment made them less inclined to get close, as the feeling of being rebuffed was unpleasant.

Ian seemed thoughtful, while Yi Zhelai frowned slightly. "It spares me from being disturbed."

Lin Su, warm on the surface but cold at heart, displayed a calmness and composure that belied his age.

When most of the ladies had resigned themselves to the idea that Lin Su was already taken, the host of the banquet finally appeared.

Dressed in a black suit with soft, brown curls, he descended the staircase slowly, immediately drawing the attention of everyone present.

"Welcome to my manor and my banquet," the man descending the stairs said with a smile. "My name is Alan."

"Oh, he's such a gentleman," a lady remarked.

"A truly charming person," another agreed.

“Who do you think he’ll ask to dance?”

“Do you think a man like him might already have a wife?”

The murmurs continued as Lin Su looked at the man on the staircase, raising an eyebrow. If he wasn't mistaken, that should be the little guy's butler.

He had expected a stunning entrance, but knowing his arrogance, he wouldn't let a bunch of 'food' treat him like a spectacle. If he didn't want to meet him, he would have sent out a stranger vampire, but instead, he sent his butler. This was a blatant invitation.

Not seeing the person he expected to see left Lin Su hanging. The vampire’s innate ability to seduce hearts was undeniable.

Men inherently have a penchant for conquest and dominance. Lin Su, now intrigued, naturally sought to satisfy his curiosity. Interaction was essential to keep the ambiguity alive; without it, all hints of romance would come to an abrupt end.

The man on the stairs had begun mingling with the guests. Lin Su signaled to Yi Zhelai and quietly left the banquet hall.

Finding that vampire wasn’t difficult. Lin Su avoided the passing servants and stepped into the flower field, spotting the person seated in the garden pavilion.

The slight breeze lifted strands of his hair, which seemed to capture the moonlight's glow. The intricate white gown he wore exuded luxury and allure. Lin Su made his footsteps a bit heavier, and the person sitting there turned his head.

His violet eyes gleamed like glass, and upon seeing Lin Su, a smile touched his once cold gaze. “You’re here.”

His tone was so familiar, as if they had known each other for a long time, as if he had long been deeply in love, as if he had completely forgotten the teasing from before.

But it was all just as if.

Lin Su approached and stood before him. "Why didn't you show yourself?"

"Didn't feel like it," Celtic replied, the sight of this man making his teeth itch terribly.

He had no desire to be treated like a monkey by humans. Everything he did was just to draw this man here, and now he had truly come.

Lin Su sidled up and sat beside him, as if they were old acquaintances meeting again. "Were you waiting here for me?"

"If I said I wasn't?" Celtic stared into Lin's eyes.

At that moment, not only did his fangs itch, but his heart as well. This man truly evoked a desire to destroy.

"If you say you weren't, then you weren't." Lin Su naturally took his hand, resting on his thigh, and smiled. "It's quite a coincidence."

With a deft move, Lin Su pulled the noble vampire closer. "I guess this must be fate."

There's no such thing as destiny or chance encounters, just someone's deliberate arrangement. But calling it fate was perhaps the most romantic thing under the sky.

Celtic's other hand rested on Lin's shoulder, not backing away. "Have you missed me during our time apart?"

Distance and time can create beauty and longing, especially between two people who have some feelings for each other.

"Yes." Lin Su locked eyes with him, his gaze tender and affectionate. "I've missed you a lot."

Celtic's fingers twitched slightly, hearts in sync. Even though he knew this man was good at acting, faced with such deep affection, there was a moment where he felt uncontrollably sincere.

But what he couldn't control more was the craving for blood. Vampires aren't controlled by bloodlust, but it had been a long time since he tasted such top-quality blood. Every day felt like drinking garbage in comparison.

He could have endured it well, but now this person was so close, the rich scent of blood almost within reach. It really made his appetite stir.

"In that case, let's ease that longing a bit." Celtic smiled lightly and leaned in to kiss Lin's lips.

Their arms intertwined, the kiss deepened.

To make a man like Lin Su submit, certain things were different from dealing with others. Without tangible benefits, without letting him taste sweetness, how could one expect him to compromise?

Lin Su lowered his eyes slightly, naturally responding.

Under the moonlight, their embrace made them appear like an intimate couple, until Celtic's sharp teeth accidentally grazed Lin Su's lips, giving the kiss a slightly bloody taste.

Celtic felt a surge of pleasure in his heart, but this moment was interrupted as Lin Su pushed him away.

Lin Su wiped the corner of his lip where it was bitten, and smiled, "In such a hurry, it seems it's been a long time since you've had satisfactory food."

His eyes were filled with playful mockery. Celtic licked his lips and said, "After trying everything, your blood still tastes the best."

However, how could a brief taste relieve such a long period of tastelessness? This man definitely did it intentionally.

Lin Su chuckled, "You only like my blood?"

"Not just that." Celtic was not one to easily admit defeat. "Of course not. If I only liked blood, I wouldn't be kissing food. It's your blood that has kept me thinking about it all this time, its really... infuriatingly."

"So, you like me then." Lin Su clicked his tongue and chuckled. "Since we like each other, why not be lovers?"

The tricks of young vampires are indeed numerous, but unfortunately, he’s seen through them all.

"When haven't we been lovers?" Celtic countered.

"Darling," Lin Su leaned closer and smiled, "being lovers isn't just about kissing, you know."

Between men, Celtic naturally understood," the saying goes, "if you haven't eaten pork, you haven't seen a pig run."

Though he hadn't tried, sleeping with such an attractive man wouldn't be a loss, but it was clear this man wanted to be on top.

"I'm not doing bottom," Celtic's lips curled up.

"I'm not doing bottom either," Lin Su stroked his chin, "if we don't agree in bed, it looks like we'll have to break up."

They were probably the world's shortest-lived couple.
